People who flip through my sketchbook always ask me if these drawings are supposed to be of any particular individual. It makes me wonder what the people they know look like.

    Fantastic sketch! It reminds me of a guy I used to work with actually, a very angry guy. I called him Mister Chuckletrousers. Not to his face of course.

    Amp, I want to know what’s going through your mind when you draw people’s mouths. I imagine that it’s something like this:

    “Okay, now I’ll draw the mouth. Maybe I’ll make it kind of a big mouth. Hmm, no, can’t stop it there, there’s a rip in the paper, I’ll have to draw it over here. Hey, now it looks like Mick Jagger, can’t have that, I’ll have to make it a bit bigger. Okay, now I’m starting to curve down and YOW, the cat bit me, I made a huge line on the paper, guess it’ll have to be part of the mouth, pity I’m using a pen and can’t erase it, I’ll just have to make the bottom meet up…”
