What you may not know is that there are currently <a href=\"http:\/\/www.time.com\/time\/nation\/article\/0,8599,2008846,00.html\" >over 4,000<\/a> anti-choice &#8220;crisis pregnancy centers&#8221; around the country, more than <em>five times<\/em> the number of abortion providers. These largely &#8220;faith-based&#8221; operations, known for disseminating <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Crisis_pregnancy_center#Waxman_Report\">medically-dubious advice<\/a>, received at least <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/wp-dyn\/content\/article\/2006\/03\/21\/AR2006032101723_pf.html\" >$60 million<\/a> under the Bush administration. (You&#8217;ll recall the many Republicans who howled about <em>that<\/em> instance of deficit spending, no? Hmm&#8230; neither do I.) So, in a sense, Unplanned Parenthood already exists, and this cartoon is merely absurdist exaggeration.
