Not all the links are persistant, alas, but the <em>Boston Globe<\/em> and <em>Harvard Crimson<\/em> links all seem to be good.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/slate.msn.com\/id\/2112799\/\">A good <em>Slate<\/em> article<\/a> argues that Summers deserved to be criticized. It also reviews (very briefly) some of the clear evidence that yes, Virginia, discrimination does exist.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pharyngula.org\/index\/weblog\/comments\/sexist_calvinism\/\">PZ Myers<\/a>, who actually has a science background, comments. Plus he wins my heart by reproducing a <em>Calvin and Hobbes<\/em> cartoon.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>A good post and discussion at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stcynic.com\/blog\/archives\/2005\/01\/much_ado_about_1.php\">Dispatches From the Culture Wars<\/a> (which I also linked to in my previous post).  I disagree with 75% of what was said here. Both Summer&#8217;s critics and his defenders need to keep in mind that we don&#8217;t really know what Summers said (there is a tape recording, but Summers has refused to release it).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WISELI has a useful list of links (mostly newspaper articles) about the controversy.
