(By the way, Johnny gave no source for his statistic, so I wouldn&#8217;t assume it&#8217;s correct.)<\/p>\n<p>What about a married, op-sex couple which isn&#8217;t using any D.C. methods &#8211; but whose genetic heritage means that if he gets her pregnant, there will be a 10 times greater chance of birth defects than in the average pregnancy? Somehow, I doubt Johnny would favor a law banning <em>them <\/em>from having biological children together.<\/p>\n<p>I think that all prospective parents should have the information they want (if any) about the chances of birth defects &#8211; and once fully informed, should be free to decide for themselves how much it matters (even if the decision they come to isn&#8217;t one I&#8217;d agree with).
