According to what I&#8217;ve read, they&#8217;ve added some new dialog and cut a few songs (no clue which ones), which is too bad but probably inevitable. As part of updating it from the mid-1990s to the present day, they&#8217;ve added gay marriage to the show&#8217;s litany of issues, which makes sense.<\/p>\n<p>Maybe if <em>Rent <\/em>is a hit, the <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/tg\/detail\/-\/B000002W4L\/ref=pd_sim_music_6\/002-4411386-5246415?v=glance&#038;s=classical&#038;n=507846\">Sweeny Todd<\/a><\/em> movie will finally happen. Or better yet, an <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/tg\/detail\/-\/B000003F3N\/qid=1123246479\/sr=8-2\/ref=pd_bbs_sbs_2\/002-4411386-5246415?v=glance&#038;s=classical&#038;n=507846\">Assassins<\/a> <\/em>movie.
