For those of you who didn’t follow all of the comments following Heart’s post, Heart in the end decided not to try out radical-feminist-women only threads on “Alas.”<\/p>\n
I’ve also decided that my previous scheme to restrict MRAs to particular topic categories was simply too convoluted to work. (My belief is that no policy that takes more than twenty seconds to explain will be workable in practice.)<\/p>\n
Instead, I’ve decided to experiment with marking some posts as “feminist, pro-feminist and feminist-friendly only” threads (such as yesterday’s transwomen & feminism post). This is similar to Heart’s proposal, but it’s not limited to radical feminists, and pro-feminist men are allowed. Also, I’ve decided to be freer about kicking MRAs and anti-feminists off (although I still don’t take requests, so please don’t ask). Hopefully, this will address the concerns of folks who felt “Alas” has become too MRA-dominated. We’ll see how it goes, and make further adjustments if necessary.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
