Sometimes being an author is really cool. Such as this comic strip<\/a> based on my story “If You Were a Dinosaur, My Love<\/a>.”<\/p>\n

The comic is called LitBrick: Sequential Comedies of Literature<\/a>, I think it’s is a pretty neat idea<\/a>: “The comic is an exploration (and a relentless send-up) of all the literature one might find in college. Lit Brick was initially founded upon the idea of reading the entire Norton Anthology of English Literature and making fun of it, but over the course of several years, the comic has taken a few forks in the road.”<\/p>\n

John S. Troutman says\u00a0the story “is a brilliant and heartbreaking short story, so of course I made really dumb Jurassic Park jokes about it. I feel like none of you should be surprised.”<\/p>\n

…I’m not actually surprised by anything, I just wanted to put up a picture of a surprised dinosaur.<\/p>\n

We’re less than\u00a0$30 from the next stretch goal! <\/a>If we get there, I’ll add in\u00a0“If You Were a Cuttlefish, My Love” which I wrote one night because I was amused, and cuttlefish are awesome. Let them be awesome in your life, too.<\/p>\n

And if we get to the NEXT stretch goal after that, then there will be an original comic from the buoyant Liz Argall and her Things Without Arms and Without Legs<\/a>… and Without Butts.<\/p>\n
