(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.patreon.com\/posts\/haiku-for-sept-21682052\"><u>Here is an explanation<\/u><\/a> of why I&#8217;ve been writing and posting haiku.)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A startle of wet<\/p>\n<p>briskly awakens my skin.<\/p>\n<p>I am thinking flesh.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The willow droops black<\/p>\n<p>against a lavender sky,<\/p>\n<p>a still precipice.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Dripping, drooping, weak.<\/p>\n<p>The skin and the rain: both grey.<\/p>\n<p>An unrestful sleep.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In early dimness,<\/p>\n<p>a quiet, unmoving sky<\/p>\n<p>chills, waiting for dusk.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Waiting in the cold,<\/p>\n<p>trying not to let my mind<\/p>\n<p>rush when all is calm.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Returning, the cold<\/p>\n<p>breaks against the bedroom glass.<\/p>\n<p>Wild-eyed, the cats watch.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Afternoon, evening,<\/p>\n<p>merge as the sky stops dancing,<\/p>\n<p>parting from the clock.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Time for another round-up of my recent Haiku!
