\nUpwards Toward the Light<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n
We have nothing but freedom:
\nnot a gift given, but a heavy load
\nof permanent, intolerable uncertainty
\nthat binds us beyond choice.<\/p>\nTo be whole is to be part.
\nWe all have forests in our minds,
\nunexplored, unending
\nstories in the middle of living.<\/p>\nWhen we are finally naked in the cold,
\nwe who are so rich, so full of strength,
\nwe breathe back the breathe that made us live,
\nwe give back to the world all we did not do,
\nwe are left only with kindness.<\/p>\nTo see how beautiful the earth is,
