She&#8217;s been posting monthly crip blog roundups, and <a href=\"http:\/\/disstud.blogspot.com\/2006\/09\/disability-blogs-roundup-13-back-to.html\">the last one<\/a> was both amazing and impressively long. And remember <a href=\"http:\/\/blobolobolob.blogspot.com\/2006\/05\/blogging-against-disablism-day.html\">Goldfish&#8217;s Blog Against Disablism Day<\/a>? That one-time event ended up involving well over one hundred bloggers. So I think this is long overdue.<\/p>\n<p>Generally, the carnival will be about disability, disability studies, and disability rights. Hopefully, people from a variety of backgrounds and disability experiences will jump in to participate.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">The first carnival will be held on Thursday, October 12 at <\/span><a style=\"font-weight: bold;\" href=\"http:\/\/disstud.blogspot.com\/2006\/09\/is-it-time-for-carnival.html#comments\">Disability Studies, Temple U<\/a><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">. Deadline for submissions is Monday, October 9.<\/span> It&#8217;s already been noted that submission through the <a href=\"http:\/\/blogcarnival.com\/bc\/cprof_546.html\">blog carnival site<\/a> is problematic for those using screen-readers because of the CAPTCHA thingy, so contact Penny at her site to submit or ask further questions.
