That&#8217;s because I&#8217;m usually at work all weekend. (Have I mentioned I&#8217;m a wedding coordinator?)\n<li>There have been a few replies to my recent posts on the RIAA; check out <a href=\"http:\/\/baude.blogspot.com\/2003_09_01_baude_archive.html#106348274254287269\">Will Baude<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bhwblog.com\/blogarchive\/000193.shtml\">Bitch Has &#8220;Word&#8221;, <\/a>who disagree with me, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.exit.com\/blog\/archives\/frank\/000286.html\">I Protest<\/a>, who thinks I don&#8217;t go far enough.\n<li>Hopefully I&#8217;ll be a homeowner by a week from now. You can view some photos of my I-hope-house-to-be <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amptoons.com\/house\/\">here<\/a>.\n<li>Sappho&#8217;s Breathing has many good posts &#8211; I liked <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sapphosbreathing.com\/archives\/000090.html\">Politics and the petty sexism of progressive men<\/a>, in particular.\n<li>I&#8217;ve always thought the Bush family &#8211; Nazi connections story was too boring to be worth paying attention to, because it was the sort of thing only folks who babbled about black helicopters and the like care about. I was mistaken. Orcinus has a very sensible four posts on the subject &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/dneiwert.blogspot.com\/2003_08_31_dneiwert_archive.html#106291770076048507\">start here<\/a>.\n<li>Speaking of Orcinus, it was a question from Orcinus which led <a href=\"http:\/\/shock-awe.info\/archive\/000847.php\">Shock and Awe<\/a> to research this excellent history of the phrase &#8220;identity politics.&#8221;\n<li>Not content to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amptoons.com\/blog\/000687.html\">attack UNFPA<\/a>, some pro-lifers are now <a href=\"http:\/\/www.commondreams.org\/headlines03\/0908-03.htm\">launching an attack on UNICEF<\/a>. Their basic goal, I think, is to attack and destroy any organization that actually does any good for women and children anywhere in the world.\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2003\/09\/14\/magazine\/14TAXES.html?pagewanted=print&#038;position=\">Paul Krugman <\/a>has written an attack on anti-tax politics which you&#8217;ll probably find wonderful and enlightening if you&#8217;re a lefty, annoying and simplistic if yo&#8217;re a righty. I enjoyed it a lot.
