{"id":375,"date":"2003-09-18T06:26:04","date_gmt":"2003-09-18T14:26:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.amptoons.com\/blog\/archives\/2003\/09\/18\/the-ninth-circuits-decision-to-delay-the-ca-election\/"},"modified":"2003-09-18T06:26:04","modified_gmt":"2003-09-18T14:26:04","slug":"the-ninth-circuits-decision-to-delay-the-ca-election","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/amptoons.com\/blog\/?p=375","title":{"rendered":"The Ninth Circuit&#039;s decision to delay the CA election"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.latimes.com\/news\/opinion\/commentary\/la-oe-erwin16sep16,1,4058975.story?coll=la-news-comment-opinions\">This op-ed in the <i>LA Times<\/i>, <\/a>by one of the lawyers who was on the winning side in the Ninth Circuit&#8217;s decision to delay the recall election, has some pretty good stats explaining why the decision mattered..<\/p>\n<div class=\"snip\">Experts estimate that 40,000 votes would not be counted with punch-card machines that otherwise would be tallied in the recall.
