Connecticut has <em>so far<\/em> taken 15 months.))  &#8212; may indicate a deadlocked court.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>There&#8217;s a more plausible explanation for the delay than politics: The justices are deadlocked. Long, a visiting assistant professor at University of Connecticut School of Law, says it&#8217;s unlikely a ruling would take so long if the justices were unanimous. What&#8217;s more probable is a split decision, and the crafting of dissenting and\/or concurring opinions is responsible for the hold up.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Interesting&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>In other same-sex marraige news, a new poll in California shows the anti-gay-marriage ballot measure <a href=\"http:\/\/ap.google.com\/article\/ALeqM5g3Yrv2lixhDpA_1XiY2rZUm9Ol4wD92R34F00\">losing 54 to 40<\/a>. That&#8217;s excellent news.<\/p>\n<p>And, sadly, longtime gay rights activist <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/topNews\/idUSN2750033420080828\">Del Martin has died at the age of 87<\/a>, just months after finally legally marrying her partner of 55 years, Phyllis Lyon.
