{"id":482,"date":"2003-12-10T02:02:34","date_gmt":"2003-12-10T10:02:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.amptoons.com\/blog\/archives\/2003\/12\/10\/somethings-to-read\/"},"modified":"2003-12-10T02:02:34","modified_gmt":"2003-12-10T10:02:34","slug":"somethings-to-read","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/amptoons.com\/blog\/?p=482","title":{"rendered":"Somethings to Read"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>While sick I also had time to kill on the internet, that great eater of time.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Scott McCloud gave birth to this gem of a comic, <i>But No One Ever Noticed the Walrus<\/i> (in two parts, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scottmccloud.com\/comics\/mi\/mi-22\/mi-22.html\">here<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scottmccloud.com\/comics\/mi\/mi-22\/mi-22-part2.html\">here<\/a>) which, I must confess, confirms to me that Mr. McCloud is entirely worthy of the crush I have on him.\n<li>Kevin Moore&#8217;s Blarg Blog has a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.incontemptcomics.com\/archives\/000212.html\">good post<\/a> up about the contrasting image tactics of the Dean and Kucinich campaigns and why the campaigns selected the images they have.\n<li>You know, I think that I like <a href=\"http:\/\/badlydrawncomics.com\/04s.html\">this<\/a> more than I&#8217;ve ever liked an actual <i>Cathy<\/i> strip. (at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.badlydrawncomics.com\/\">Badly Drawn Comics<\/a>)\n<li>There&#8217;s a really great <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bitchmagazine.com\/archives\/12_02sg\/sg.shtml\">article<\/a> from <i>Bitch<\/i> Magazine about the self-contradictory nature of so-called alternaporn sites like Suicide Girls and FrictionUSA.\n<li>Does the Canadian flag offend you? Apparently it <a href=\"http:\/\/www.canada.com\/national\/story.asp?id=D333BE79-44EE-407B-B960-BF1FA49CAE39\">really bothers some people.<\/a> (via <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pandagon.net\/\">Pandagon<\/a>)\n<li>And don&#8217;t forget: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.comics.com\/comics\/getfuzzy\/archive\/getfuzzy-20031210.html\">Vacuums are from hell.<\/a>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And that&#8217;s about it for tonight.
