Heya, all.<\/p>\n
I’ve had a hard time finding much of anything funny lately. I think this may be common these days among those of us on the left.<\/p>\n
I don\u2019t know if it\u2019s because the campaign seems like a bad joke all on its own (\u201cI can see Russia from my house!\u201d), or because of the ongoing financial apocalypse or what, but even the jokes I find funny are funny in an \u201coh god make it stop\u201d kind of way.<\/p>\n
My current favorite?<\/p>\n
Asking the people of America to bail out the crooks who swindled them is ridiculous!\u00a0 Why, that would be like asking a rape victim to finance their own rape kit!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Funny, eh? No? Yeah. Me neither.<\/p>\n
Anyway, this coming Sunday, the 28th, I\u2019ll be taking a break from it all and going to the San Francisco Comedy Day<\/a> in Golden Gate Park. It’s free, it features 30 different comedians, and it involves lying on a blanket on the grass and laughing really hard.<\/p>\n
If any of you are in the SF Bay Area and are so inclined, you’re certainly invited to join me! I’d love to meet more ALASers, and the way I figure it, we could all use a break and a laugh.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
