{"id":7196,"date":"2009-03-27T12:31:25","date_gmt":"2009-03-27T19:51:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.amptoons.com\/blog\/?p=7196"},"modified":"2009-03-27T12:31:25","modified_gmt":"2009-03-27T19:51:13","slug":"michele-bachmann-irrational-conspiracy-theories-are-awesome","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/amptoons.com\/blog\/?p=7196","title":{"rendered":"Michele Bachmann: Irrational conspiracy theories are awesome."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/yglesias.thinkprogress.org\/archives\/2009\/03\/bachmann_and_beck_double_down_on_currency_conspiracy_theory.php\">Matt Yglesias has the goods<\/a>, but what it comes down to, basically, is that Michele Bachmann does not see the difference between China\u00a0making\u00a0an internal decision about what currency to use as their reserve currency and the institution of a\u00a0sinister\u00a0One World Currency, outlawing the dollar.<\/p>\n<p>Not to harp on a point, or anything, but in my last post I talked a bit about how fundamentally unserious the\u00a0Republican\u00a0approach to government has become. This is like that times a bajillion. It&#8217;s either profoundly ignorant or profoundly deceptive, and I&#8217;m not sure which would be worse for\u00a0the\u00a0country and her\u00a0constituents.<\/p>\n<p>After Jeff Fecke wrote his &#8220;<a title=\"Permanent Link: Once Again, We\u2019re Sorry About Michele Bachmann\" rel=\"bookmark\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amptoons.com\/blog\/archives\/2009\/03\/24\/once-again-were-sorry-about-michele-bachmann\/\">Once Again, We\u2019re Sorry About Michele Bachmann<\/a>&#8221; post, there were some people in the comments who tried gamely to defend her argument &#8230; and actually, hey, maybe that argument had some tiny kernel of truth buried deep within it that could be teased out into the light.
