Chuck Schumer (D-NY) as &#8220;that Jew,&#8221; at a county Republican meeting last week.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I don&#8217;t use a teleprompter and occasionally I put my foot in my month,&#8221; Hendren told Arkansas blogger <a href=\"http:\/\/tolbertreport.com\/2009\/05\/14\/sen-kim-hendren-without-a-teleprompter\/\">Jason Tolbert<\/a>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Demonstrating his point, Hendren explained that when he referred to Schumer as &#8220;that Jew,&#8221; he was drawing a contrast between his own &#8220;traditional values&#8221; and those of Senator Schumer.<\/p>\n<p>Still later, Hendren added &#8220;When I referred to him as Jewish, it wasn&#8217;t because I don&#8217;t like Jewish people.&#8221; Phew, what a relief!<\/p>\n<p>Via David, who entitled his post &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/dsadevil.blogspot.com\/2009\/05\/that-one.html\">That One<\/a>.&#8221; Interesting observation from PG in David&#8217;s comments, too, but you have to go there to read it because I&#8217;m a tease.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>TPM: Arkansas state Sen.
