Monday Baby Blogging – Sleeping Sisters

No good story with this week’s pictures (which were taken by Kim, by the way – thanks, Kim!) – just Sydney and Maddox snoozing and being oh-so-cute.

Hmm, my computer at work blocked this as “child pornography”. That’s weird.

    Robert says:

    Awwwwwwwwwwww.

(Text fails to note that the tone of this “aww” starts in the mid-range and gets higher and higher until at the end I am squeaking in adoration of beautiful babies.)

Some of them go by amount of pixels in “skintone” colors.

Monday baby blogging is an exploration of the philosophical query “Is there a level of cute beyond which there is no greater?”

Sorry, but my nightmares are still haunted by Maddox scuttling across the floor and leaping onto the couch like some twitchy face-hugger. And Sydney’s a manipulative vamp, people. You haven’t seen the heartache she leaves in her wake. Get real: they’re nothing more than predators at rest. Cute, maybe—but count your fingers when you leave.

Of course they’re cute when they’re asleep. That’s five million years of evolutionary fine-tuning talking, where insufficiently-cute infants got eaten or tossed out of the cave (and adults who didn’t consider infants cute tended not to have grandchildren).

From the Artist as well (who should have been in bed long ago.)

Nonsense. Kids are cute because the flying spaghetti monster in his infinite wisdom and kindness created them cute. Surely you don’t believe that implausible theory that life evolved when the FSM creation story is so much more plausible;-)

Oops, almost forgot to write: Awwwwwwwwwwww!
