I. LOVE. THIS.
I’m reminded of an old Saturday Night Live sketch depicting Ronald Reagan as a governmental mastermind. He barked off informed and decisive instructions to his subordinates, confronted new information and wrestling knowledgably with how to respond, negotiated with his German counterparts in German — interspersed with having occasional photo ops in the persona of the amiable duffer we knew, greeting the girl scout that sold the most cookies or whatever. His snapping into each different role was hilarious. But it was also inspired: The fact that the public howled with laughter at the idea that our president might secretly be competent illustrated just how far from that reality we were.
And so it is with TeachingCenter. If you know about sports and care about education, you will laugh ‘til it hurts.
I’m always a fan of transferring sports broadcasting onto other arenas, so this was really enjoyable for me.
I sent the link to my Dad, a retired teacher, halfway through!
My favorite part was the commercial at the end.
I would watch TeachingCenter. It would be awesome to hear people at a sports bar rattling off a teacher’s stats like they do a sports figure’s.
