Taking Sydney to the grocery store can be a challenge, because she really hates being put into the cart. (Sydney hates anything that straps her down and keeps her in place).
So once she’s in the cart, Matt and I work at keeping Sydney amused and happy. Funny faces, tickle attacks (giving and receiving), conversation, liquor, toys placed in the cart with her until she gets bored with them (a process that takes between 5 and 15 minutes) – whatever works.
In this case, Kim snapped the picture while I pretended that a small toy fish was brutally ripping my throat out. There’s very little Sydney finds as funny as someone pretending to go through an agonizing death. What a cutie!.

So you didn’t get bugged by the staff about taking pictures this time?
These pictures are actually from the same grocery trip, where they eventually told me to stop taking pictures. (There’s also going to be a third baby blogging from that same trip, featuring Syd and Maddox together).
How do you keep Syd from grabbing stuff off the shelf/out of the cart?
Stephanie: “That little girl is so sweet!”
Me: “Do you know her name?”
Stephanie: “Her name is Delightful!”
Me: “I think her name is actually Sydney.”
Stephanie: “No. Her name is Delightful. Her name can be Sydney tomorrow.”
WOW, what a fantastic picture. Can’t wait to see Syd and Maddox.
liquor?
Sounds like a Bruce McCulloch album.
