Sydney walked up to the “microphone” and began giving an Oscar acceptance speech. “Thank you to Mommy, thank you to Bean…,” etc. When she finished Bean and I and the few other adults that were in the room applauded her, so she came back to the mic and gave her acceptance speech again. :-)

Is this photo digitally manipulated at all? It looks like it might be, somehow, to me, although I can’t pinpoint why. Whatever. It’s a cute photo. Maddox looks like she’s in full “follow big sister around and do what she does” mode.
Dianne, you’re quite right — just for the fun of it, I played with the color balance in photoshop to make the colors more “posterlike.”
And yeah, Maddox’s “look at my big sis” expression in this photo is wonderful. :-)
Maddox’ facial expression looks identical to the Dancing Baby of a decade or so ago. She’s a time-traveler.
