Their new feature — Friday Feminist Fuck You — is great. There is something very powerful about young smart happy women saying Fuck You to the anti-feminist powers that be.
Here’s the first video — it’s very cute and spot-on. I’m not surprised it’s given birth to a Facebook fan-group.
Well, it’s good to see that Apostate is supportive of someone, at least, in between complaining that she’s being silenced by evil privileged WoC feminists. I’m glad you pointed this out; I’ve lost so much respect for Apostate that I would never have seen this on her blog (because I don’t intend to ever visit her blog again). Though I’d’ve eventually run across it on Feministing.
That said, the Friday Fuck You feature looks fun. There’s been a lot of subversive feminist stuff like this on YouTube for the past few years; good to see the blogosphere officially getting in on the game.
