It’s 5:41 a.m. Florida time, and I’ve just gotten the news. Please welcome to the world my wonderful new niece, Jemma Elizabeth Andersen!!!
The birth went quickly and easily, and I’m told that both Jemma Elizabeth and her mother (my sister) Allison are in good health.
(No one has specifically reported to me about my brother-in-law Tim, or my nephew Silas, but lacking any other report I assume they too have survived the process without incident.)
In Jewish tradition, children are named after relatives who have passed away; Jemma Elizabeth is named after Allison’s and my grandfather Benjamin and our cousin Elizabeth.
I’m sitting here getting teary-eyed (and trust me, that’s not my usual state while blogging!). May Jemma Elizabeth’s life always be as full of joy as my family is today!.
Congratulations!
All is well on the home front here. Hope all is well with you.
Congratulations!
And happy baby-spoiling!
Jemma is a *beautiful* name, but I’m sure it couldn’t live up to the girl herself. Congratulations!
Hoorah! Congrats to you and your family, Amp!
Oh Amp, great! Congratulations to you and Allison and her family. Wait until Jemma finds out how cool her uncle is. And doesn’t that feel funny, being able to refer to yourself as somebody’s uncle now!
Yay, more blabies!
Mazel tov for your sister’s blaby and your new niece – please post pictures ASAP, as your pics with Silas were beautiful…
Welcome to the world, Jemma. Live long and prosper.
Welcome, Jemma! May you always have enough to eat and people to love!
Just adding my congratulations to the bunch. I’m wishing your whole family the very best,
Damn, Jemma’s alive for less than a day and is already being blessed by the Snake-Goddess. I think she’ll do fine. :)
