Shared Workspace in SE Portland For Writers, Artists, Cartoonists, Etc

(Poking this back to the top, because we’re once again seeking new co-spacers!)

I draw my comics at a shared space in Portland (Oregon), on SE Foster.

We’re currently looking for mild-mannered, friendly writers, cartoonists, visual artists, and anyone else who wants a affordable workplace, to share a quiet, air conditioned work space.

– Large desks (5 x 2.5 feet).
– High speed internet and utilities included.
– Open 24/7.
– Microwave, refrigerator and half bath.
– Close to food, comics shops and other awesomeness.
– On the 14 and 17 bus lines.
– $100/month — which is, frankly, incredibly affordable.

I can say from experience, being able to get out of the house to work is really, really nice, and boosts productivity. If you’d be interested, drop me an email.

As the host to Barry’s comic artistry I can promise a good working environment, good coffee and even the occasional chance to hobnob with Portland digerati and sometimes even the Mayor :D

At Slate we love coworking, we were founded at the late CubeSpacePDX and when we outgrew that we said “let’s share the helping start attitude too” and so we’re always looking for ways to help creatives.

There’s also a podcasting room where you can record video or audio podcasts (we’ll even help you get them on iTunes).

Wow! Delurking to say I didn’t know you were so close-walking distance! I’ll post a link to this on my Facebook page; I know a lot of writing folks

I wish I lived in Portland because I could actually use a little studio/office space. And I could put post-it notes reading “I Voted Republican” on Amp’s backpack when he wasn’t looking.
