Rapunzel, Rapunzel, Let Down Your Hair… Inventive Fundraising Methods for Starving Artists

What pretty hair
What pretty locks you got there
What luck you got, it’s worth a centime my dear

Starving artists are always looking for ways to finance their art. A friend of mine is trying to sell her 20+ inches of virgin blonde hair so that she can pay her way to art school.

Know a hair fetishist? Interested in wigs? Want to try your hand at Victorian hair sculpture?

Beautiful locks for sale, and it’s a good cause:

Blonde hair

Coils of blonde hair, shining

There’s tawny, and there’s golden saffron
There’s flaxon, and there’s blonde!
There’s coarse, there’s straight, there’s fine and curly
There’s finer texture, ash looks fair!
Which makes it rare, but flaxen’s rarer…

The Victorian Hairwork Society has been recommended for such things.

I’m also being told to check out wig sites. There’s lots of edumucation to be done when one looks to sell their golden, flowing, un-loxlike locks.

Make sure to take photos for show in bright, overhead sunlight (I am being insisted to).

Not much detail here for anyone who would actually want to buy the hair…

It is very nice hair, though. :)

GAH. I forgot to include the ad link.
