I’m going to a comic-con this weekend, and have some things to get done before I go, so I probably won’t be writing any new posts until next week. Although, who knows? We’ll see how it goes.
This also means that comments moderation will be much reduced over the weekend, and if you have a comment put into the “needs approval” list it may take a while for me to see it and let it through. I’ll try to check at least once a day.
Meanwhile, I’ve been playing a bit with the images today. Hope you like ’em. Extra-big-wet-thanks to Jenn and Kip, who each drew a between-comments illustration for me.
Have fun, Barry. I hear there is a new Uzumaki out. I’m not sure how reliable that rumor is, but if you see it, please let me know. I own volumes 1 through 3, and it’s the weirdest manga I’ve seen.
Have fun! I went to a comic-con last fall and met Peter Mayhew! I became such a geek.
Yeah have fun. And I just want to say these new drawings are awesome. I just saw the huge nosed guy at the top of another comments thread and thought -“whoah, that’s new.” Are these just randomly appearing or what?
Thanks, Raznor.
Both the header image, the sidebar image, and the between-comments image are now chosen randomly. Computers are so neat (when they work).
Wow, that’s going to push up your non-unique page hits (as I sit here and repeatedly reload the page to see what all the image combinations are.
Hmm, I’m not sure which I like more, the screaming pierced tongue guy or the or the smiley, missing-a-tooth, sign-holding-up guy. Thank god that I don’t have to choose.
Ampersand, while you were away from the blog, I sent you an email about a Norwegian study of the effects of the Swedish prostitution laws – did you recieve it? It seems relevant to this blog.
I like the images, and the fact that they change.
I’m glad you like the changing images!
I got your email, and I should have sent you a thank-you email. So, thanks for sending me that. :-) I intend to do a post about the stuff you sent, but it may be a while; there are a lot of unwritten “Alas” posts waiting on line and shuffling their feet.
No worries Amp, was just affraid that it somehow had gotten lost in the post-con spam deletion.
