Buffy – Earshot
I love post secret – and it does make me think about Buffy.* Each person who writes in a secret is reaching beyond themselves, trying to do something with their pain, trying to make a connection. People read the site and feel less alone. It’s not much, it’s not enough, everyone who writes in deserves so much more than to have their work read, to realise they’re not alone, but it’s a start.
*But then looking at linoleum sometimes makes me think about Buffy

I also love post secret. I’ve been following your blog for a little while & it’s really enjoyable.
that commercial made me choke up. then you had to mention buffy and i just about lost it.
i am a believer in catharsis through art. we as a nation (well, i guess i am talking about my nation, the united states – there’s plenty of non-americans here, so “we” is rather presumtuous) – this nation i live in, is Hell – a Hell of its own making, of our own making.
i believe that art will be our only way out.
i believe that every one of us is morally obligated to strip ourselves down before The Work and send it out into the world.
i have always believed that this sort of act releases an energy into the universe that cannot be dispelled.
things are probably going to get worse. so it’ll be only practical for us to have our souls along with us for the ride.
Amp – that second Buffy reference has got my more satisfaction than anything else I’ve written this month. Definitely guilty as charged the nerd front.
