Me too. How much of that was attributable to home ownership vs. rapid aging, mutant kidneys, and just plain ol’ general cussedness is anyone’s call. ;)
Hey Co-homeowner! Bravo and congratulations! Did your hand expire from all the signing at the closing? My favorite paper is the one you sign saying if you have to you’ll come back and sign more paper. :)
Kick ass, Amp. Where is it anyway? Southwest? It looks Southwest.
Then, being a Reedie, I barely even have time to leave campus, let alone Southeast Portland. So I’m really no expert on what the various sections of Portland look like.
Yeah, we’ll definitely do something about the lawn — but you have to remember, we are just now getting out of the “dry” season here in Portland. Yeah, it rains a lot during the fall, winter, and spring — but it doesn’t rain at all in the summer (hence all the fires in Oregon every summer). Pretty much every lawn in Portland looks like that right now.
Yay! Mazel Tov! I know I shouldn’t congratulate any non-Indian in the purchasing of ill-gotten native land, but, for you, I’ll make an exception. Besides, if we ever get the boats to take everyone back, you get to stay ;-).

Well, I guess we’ll all find out the truth about the old saw about “when buying your first home, be prepared for a political shift to the right”.
Quite the opposite happened to me, actually…

Congrats! Nice color scheme, but good ogd, do something about the lawn.
Congratulations! That’s a good feeling.
Mazel Tov!
May your first acquaintance with the joys of homeownership be not horribly expensive.

Bravo! I did the deed a couple of years ago. Wait until you start “seeing” all the stuff that need fixing…
Congratulations!
