Pretty solid choice. Good credentials, good skills, and will help with the ??% of the white electorate who are just really uncomfortable without an old white guy on the ticket.

As a journalist, I now devote my life to waiting for the next Biden gaffe. ;)

Is that really likely to be in the double digits? I don’t have a sense if it myself, so I’m just asking.

As a journalist, I now devote my life to waiting for the next Biden gaffe. ;)

Are you similarly devoted to McCain’s gaffes, or is this a one-sided thang?

  3. Elkins says:

Well, Daran, Biden *is* rather notorious for his gaffes, in a way that McCain — although he certainly does make them from time to time — is not. I don’t think that Robert’s comment was necessarily indicative of his partisan outlook. After all, I’m on the other side of the political spectrum from Robert, and I’m rather waiting for the next Biden gaffe now as well.

    Pretty solid choice.

Yes, Biden’s pretty clean and articulate. For an old white guy.

  4. Charles says:

    Daran,

I think Robert’s “;)” symbol was intended to signify that his eagerness for Biden gaffes is not actually driven by journalistic interest, but by partisan interest.

  5. Robert says:

That, and gaffes make cheap and easy blog fodder.

  6. Daran says:

I thought a propensity for gaffes was a requirement for high office in the US.
