My liberal father occasionally mounts the following defense of Leiberman, “He’s a democrat, just like any other democrat, except for the war issue. That’s the only real difference.”
If that’s the case, then why did I just see video footage on the Leher News Hour of Lieberman standing behind McCain at a Florida Rally, cheering on the Republican senator’s assinine statements about the evils of progressive taxation?
Lieberman, you are a slimy snake oil salesman with a second-rate smirk, and on Election Eve, I’d like to tell you with all the respect you could possibly be due, “Go fuck yourself.”
One of the main reasons I REALLY want us to get to 60 Senators is so that the Democrats can kick Lieberman to the curb. He really deserves it.
He’s for regressive taxation?

He was a-grinnin’ and a-clappin’ while McCain talked about how stupid it would be to “spread the wealth.” So, apparently.
Lieberbush really gets on my nerves.
You know what? I could respect his toadying to the Republican party back in 2000. That was mostly with McCain, and back then McCain was still a respectable character, and the Republican party was (at least publicly) the party of businessmen more than warfare and Jeezus.
But as the Republicans have been going further off the deep end, Liebermen ties himself closer and closer to them. Whiskey. Tango. Foxtrot.
As long as the Dems get a number that isn’t 58, Lieberman can be kicked to the curb. I have my doubts that they will tell him to piss off, though.
He’s done. Thinking about travelling to D.C. just to watch when he’s forced to move his crap out of the committee chairman’s office. Reid’s Dem colleagues are going to demand Lieberman’s scalp [rightfully so], regardless of the final count.
