How did I not know about Dark Roasted Blend? What a neat blog of neat things! (And thanks to Our Decent Into Madness for leading me to it.)

One of my favorite DRB posts I’ve seen so far: A gallery of awe-inspiring photos of spider webs.

And somewhat politically, if you haven’t already read the much-linked Onion article “Nation Finally Shitty Enough To Make Social Progress,” then you’re not a real American. (Mandolin told me it was “so true it hurt.”) Sometimes, reading The Onion, I feel I’ve gotten the point and skip the last half of the article — but in this case, you should read to the the final sentence.

I liked Black Man Given Nation’s Worst Job. I also think that The Cauldron of History might appeal to the political convictions of some of the posters here.

  2. I interviewed alt-cartoonist Neil Swabb for his work on Superjail

Thanks for the beautiful photo. Elkins, that one made me laugh and laugh until I feared laughter-induced farting.

Arpaio jail staff cause woman to lose child: The is yet another account of how the racist, sexist policies of Americas toughest jailer has cost yet another life.

A professor is fired from Howard University because she is being stalked. It seems if you are the victim of a crime it is okay for an employer to fire for you for the sake of convenience.

This is what I’ve been writing about in my city:

Arrest warrant on police officer unsealed

    This is the response:

So now [my last name] follows one of RPDs officers through the courthouse? Sits close and eavesdrops on a handshake between a prosecutor and the officer?

    Sick.

Her true intentions ring out again. She is infatuated with the thought of an officer being charged with sex crimes. “This cop abused his authority,” she screams. Just like he (that authority figure from her past) did to me!” Oops.

You might ask why. We have a hunch. Maybe she’s reliving her Army days? Yeah we know all about that. Don’t act surprised.

Sick, [my last name]. You really ought to get some help with your spirits of the past. oh and get some clean clothes and get yourself clean. Your disgusting.

Does anybody know of a list of Prop. 8 supporters that is arranged geographically? I don’t want to give my money to those who gave to 8, but I don’t have the time to search through all of the bazillion donors looking for one that is local.

Judging by what Daisy quoted from the priest in her post, the AP’s headline is a bit unfair.

A friend of mine just put up a post on NY politics, on an issue that I’ve missed since living and voting in CA.

Right now, my least favorite person in the world is Rubén Díaz Sr.
