If your mission in life is not already to
preserve the English tongue, it should be.
Congratulations and thank you!
How grammatically sound are you?
brought to you by Quizilla
If I’m a grammar god, then it’s not a very hard quiz. I have to admit, though, I have no clue if my answers to the final two questions were correct or not.
If you’re going to write this sort of quiz, however, you really must do more proofreading than this gal/fellow/trannie did. Check out question seven:
Oh dear, oh dear, oh dearie me..
I got grammar god too. I like the Monty Python god it uses.
i only managed “master”. i’m disappointed, and frustrated that it wouldn’t tell me which ones i got wrong.
i bet it’s because i use logical quoting. it’s “outer quote ‘inner quote’?”, end sentence, dammit; any other way will bastardize the literal strings in one or both of the quotes. then again, maybe i’ve just fraternized with a few too many computer geeks…
I was astonished at my score. Now that I got that score, I must reflect:
I,too, am a grammar god.
I too, am a gramnar god.
I too am a grammar god.
I am too a grammar god.
I am a grammar god, too.
None of the above? All?
Forget it! That web has decreed, I am a grammar god!
Not that anyone would know it from my posts. I have always believed my grammar is atrocious, and I still do.
I returned and changed my answers…. I am still grammar god even if I change my answers. (There is less trees in the forest ?) I added more totally wrong answers… still a god!!!
Maybe the script is mischevious and tells people who use abysmal grammar that they are gods?
Maybe it just doesn’t work?
Shhh……I AM a grammar GOD!

Well, given that I got “Grammar God”, too (people who have read comments by me and/or my blog will feel the irony), even though I never really learned English grammar, I have to conclude that your are most probably right.
Some of these questions depend on whether or not you’re American. Some I’m not sure about because usage has changed, and what was once unacceptable is now standard. I got ‘God’ too, but I’m not sure how much I got right.
