amptoons.com is finally resolved

So the “www.amptoons.com” problem has finally been solved – at more expense than I would have preferred, but such is life. It may take a couple of days for the change to finish propogating throughout the web. Currently, it’s partly propogated, so results depend on which ISP you use – as of 10:20 am Thursday, “amptoons.com” points to the wrong place if your ISP is comcast.net, but the correct place if your ISP is sprint.com or speakeasy.com.

But in any case, starting sometime between today and a couple of days from now, depending on your ISP, the correct URL for “Alas, a Blog” is once again http://www.amptoons.com/blog . My goodness, am I happy to have that resolved.

Many thanks to Jenn Lee, for patiently hosting amptoons.com all this time..

Amptoons.com points to the right place if you’re on pacbell.net, which, I assume, means that it’ll also be right for sbcglobal.net customers too.

One weird thing, though. When I click over to amptoons.com, the layout is just a little different. Not much, but barely enough to notice. I think the sidebar is a smidge wider, for example.

Okay, another issue with the new site.

For some reason, when I go to an individual post through the “recent comments” section, the URL bar still keeps the “amptoons.com/blog” address. Thus, when I hit “refresh” it kicks me back to the main page.

Not a big deal, but there it is.

Hmmn. The error happens in Explorer, but not in Opera. I wonder what the deal is?

Well, I’ll poke around and see if I can fix anything.

    You know what’s weird?

I’m using Opera, and now, it’s not doing it.

I swear to god, man. Your blog is haunted.
