This actually sounds a lot like what happened when Pres. Nixon resigned and then Pres. Ford pardoned him, both from the viewpoint of Ford stating why he issued the pardon and the reaction of many (including myself) opposing that. I voted against Ford in the next election mostly on that issue.

If you’re not going after bush, cheney and tennet there’s no point in going after any of the smaller fish. Kevin Drum has a good post up on the subject.
If you do want to go after Bush I figure it’ll be about all that Obama can get done in office.
Resources are limited, you have to pick your battles.
Certainly if Obama pardoned Bush, I would go totally apeshit, and would support nearly any Democratic primary challenge (I could not support a Republican challenge because I do not support gay-hate, and I do not support torture), but I don’t want to take my eye from the ball either. Surely our anger and outrage at Obama for failing to aggressively prosecute Bush for authorizing acts of torture should not surpass our anger at Bush for authorizing them in the first place..

Yeah, this is about where I am. I would LOVE to see prosecutions, but I would settle for no pardons + universal healthcare + a less fucked economy + US out of Iraq + etc + etc.

I liked Emily Bazelon’s suggestion of seeking disbarments for some of the torture memo authors if their advice a completely unreasonable interpretation of the law. Maybe lawyers can get a tiny bit of moral authority back.
