One year ago, the Dow hit 14,164.53, its all-time high.
Since then, the Dow has shed 5566.39, 39.3 percent of its value. Today, it dropped 678.91 points, falling to 8579.19.
It’s now down 2099.09 from the day George W. Bush took office, down 19.8 percent.

I’ll never be retiring.
